Classes Offered:

Another Wonderful Year Begins September 13, 2015

Here is what we are all looking forward to:

Uni-Tots – Nursery:  Ages birth through age 3

Our happy and energetic young ones are cared for in the Harmony Room with love and attention from Kaiven Twospirit and Casey Wright.

Uni-Kids – Pre-School (age 4) through Grade 2
Teachers: June Hopkins and Betsy Priddle

We begin with singing and movement. The spiritual songs exemplify the principles of Unity. Our meditation focuses on letting our Christ Lights shine. We send the love of God to others. Our stories coincide with the lesson and embody Unity truths.

Our curriculum this year is centered around the Twelve Powers. The creative activity is a celebration of who we are. Children are allowed and encouraged to follow their inner guidance and feel good about their ideas and creations. Creative Activity is Divine Activity. Some of the books we will use are Kite Flyer, by Dennis Haseley, The Clown of God, by Tomie dePaola, Miss Rumphius, by Barbara Cooney, and Thanksgiving at the Tappletons, by Eileen Spinelli. We will create kites, lupine murals, clay pots, pumpkin vines, and seed rattles — and even clown hats which will create a room filled with laughter.

Galileans – Grades 3-4-5

The Galileans is a service group for children in grades 3 through 5 led by teacher Alison Cantril.

This year we will be focusing on the Metaphysics of Harry Potter by attending the Lumindorf School for the Magical and Mystical!  We will study the Twelve Powers of Unity through the story of Harry Potter, an 11-year-old boy wizard who discovers that love is the most powerful magic of all.

The Galileans will engage in a variety of fun activities based on these stories, including making magic wands with some of the Twelve Powers at the core, transforming our fears in bubbling cauldrons of potion, and creating our own school houses, complete with mascots and coats of arms. No previous knowledge of Harry Potter is necessary, as we will read sections of the first book in class.

In addition, we will engage in a series of service projects, including raising money for, and providing, Thanksgiving dinners for families in need, and delivering roses and valentines to residents at a local nursing home. We will use the power of love to help our local community!

Uni-teens – Grades 6-7-8  and Youth of Unity (Y.O.U) – High School-Age 18

These groups meet together at this point in time under the capable leadership of Shawna Newcomb, Aaron Chester, Raymond Albano, and Sally Crum.

The following is their vision statement:

Our purpose in coming together is to share a supportive trust culture focused on mindfulness and holistic integration through creative exploration and fun activities. Connecting with the source to our inner greatness and light.

By celebrating the authentic self while appreciating the unique differences in everyone, students gain tools for life, deeper confidence, and embrace their inner gifts so as to rise to their full potential.
